Hi I'm Hal

I'm an air traffic controller and a pilot living in the great Northwest. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I’m a husband, father, and grandfather. I have been an air traffic controller most of my adult life. I am pretty active enjoying sailing, tennis, motorcycle riding, and playing my guitar. I am also a pilot and enjoy flying small planes.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the church because the Spirit of the Lord has born witness to my soul that the things it teaches are true. It teaches me to center my life on my Savior, Jesus Christ. For His is the only name given under heaven or in earth whereby man may be saved and return to live eternally with our Father-in-Heaven. He has provided a living prophet that directs the work of the church, the church being established to help families and to serve one another. I have read the Book of Mormon, Another Witness of Jesus Christ, and have had the burning in my chest and clarity and peace come to my mind that caused me to know that it is true and is of divine origin. I declare these things to be true, in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by following the words of the living prophet. I spend a little time each day reading scriptures such as The Holy Bible, The Book of Mormon, and the Doctrine and Covenants. I spend some time praying. I try to be honorable and a good citizen. I try to be honest in my dealings with my fellow man. I also try to serve my fellow man. Through the church I have had the opportunity to serve as a Scout Master, a teacher, and a leader. I recently was asked to oversee an addiction recovery program sponsored by the church. I also oversee a family history center where people can come and do genealogy.
