Hi I'm Toke Kefu

I'm a Rugby playing, music loving, family oriented guy. A Oregonian in my Heart but a Cali boy to the core.. and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

The youngest of 5, I have 4 sisters who have all played a major role in raising me. My mother passed away when I was 6 years old and my pops when I was 20. I have a strong testimony of God's plan for us and believe that I will be reunited with my loved ones again some day. I was teaching PE at my alma mater, San Mateo High School, when I decided to follow the Prophets counsel from General Conference (Oct. '10) and serve the Lord. I graduated from Eastern Washington University, where I was blessed with the opportunity to play college football on a full scholarship, I had the job I always wanted, a beautiful girlfriend, and I was playing rugby. Life seemed to be good for me at the time. I had put off serving a mission to play football and attend EWU, and I felt like if I didn't go now, I would never go. So I decided to put everything aside and place my trust in the Lord and set out to serve my mission. It has been the best decision I have made to serve the Lord and I do not have any regrets. I love the scripture in Mathew 10:39 that says, "He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it." There's no better place I can be than out here serving the Lord in my portion of the Vineyard, helping others come unto Christ. The church is TRUE and Jesus is the CHRIST.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know that this is Christ church, and it has been restored through the Prophet Joseph Smith. Evidence of this is found in the book or Mormon, but don't take my word for it. You can read, pray and find out for yourself the truth and divinity of the book of Mormon and gain your own personal testimony of it. Living the gospel has brought me happiness that cannot be found else where in this world. "Spiritually Minded Is Life Eternal, SMILE" 2 Nephi 9:39

How I live my faith

I live my faith by sharing it, living it and loving it. Trying everyday to grow closer to the savior. It's a crazy world out there and I'm just trying to help others find the peace that I have because of this gospel. We are blessed to be a part of this gospel, but we shouldn't keep it to ourselves. We should share it with everyone we know, and don't know. The gospel is like a delicious pie, share it!

What is the Book of Mormon?

Toke Kefu
The book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ, and God's dealings with the ancient inhabitants of the Americas. Everyone is invited to read and pray about the Book of Mormon to gain their own personal testimony of its truthfulness. Show more Show less
