Hi I'm Eric

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Las Vegas, NV. I am a business owner doing IT Services and a Part Time Scuba Instructor.

About Me

I am a Dad, Grandpa, and a husband and I am a man of many hobbies and interests. To name a few: Scuba Diving Instructor, Fly Fishing, Mountain Biking, Hiking, Weight Lifting, Snow Boarding. More than anything, I like be hang out with my family, even better do one of the activities mentioned above with them. For my career, I started government IT consulting firm over ten years ago. We are involved in many interesting projects and have been blessed with a good career. My wife and I like to travel and meet people of other cultures and backgrounds. We especially like the Latin America countries. The people are great and the food is awesome (well most of the time). I like to study Spanish and like to practice it when we travel. I still have a long ways to go before I am fluent. One day I will get there hopefully on a mission with my wife to Latin America. Most important to me is my faith and my family. When I am doing the right things I feel at peace.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a seeker of truth my whole life. I always have known this life is not an accident. When I was a boy, about thirteen I wanted to find out whether the things my mother had taught me were true. I started reading the Book of Mormon. I remember one day praying before a read. I was reading Nephi about a Prophet named Lehi dream that talked about the the tree of life comparing it to the love of God among other things. To this day I remember the powerful calming feeling, a feeling of total peace and love that I had never felt before. This lasted several minutes and left a lasting impact on my life. I knew what I was reading was true. That the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I continued to study scriptures and grow as spiritually and physically. Eventually I was faced with a decision whether I should go on a mission. I knelled down and prayed to know what I should do. I received an answer that was almost immediate. I was told to prepare for my mission. I had the same comforting peace that I felt earlier in my life when I first payed about the Book of Mormon. I went on my mission and continued my spiritual journey. I love the Savior Jesus Christ, I love to read about him. This church provides me with steps to model my life after him. It shows me how to be with my family for ever. I don't know what I would do without it. I am eternally grateful.

How I live my faith

I am a coach at the High School teaching kids how to throw the shot put and discus. Its great to see how they progress and gain more confidence in themselves as they get better in the sport. I love to spend time with my wife and family. I like to read the scriptures, it makes me feel good in the morning to start the day with scripture reading. The Gospel of Jesus Christ helps want to be a good person. I know I have many faults but the Savior Atonement give me hope that I too can return back to him and be with my family one day.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Eric
We increase our faith in Jesus Christ by doing. By serving others and by being selfless as he was. We must strive to be like him. Show more Show less
