Hi I'm Heather

I grew up on a potato farm in Idaho. I'm a health educator. I'm a mother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the wife of a handsome, hard working accountant. I'm a mother of a very active little boy and have a baby girl on the way. I grew up on a potato farm and learned the value of hard work. I have my bachelor's degree in Public Health. I worked full-time as a health educator for 2 years before having my son. Now I continue to do some work from home as a health educator. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to be home and raise my son. I enjoy reading, crafts, gardening (with the little space I have), and doing anything with friends and family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church. I never doubted this church or it teachings, but when I was about 13 years old I wanted to know that the church was true for myself. I read and studied the scriptures, particularly the Book of Mormon, and prayed. Through this process and continuing to follow the teachings of this gospel, I learned for myself it is true. There wasn't this magnificent confirmation but a sweet feeling to my heart. I realized that I'd felt this same feeling many times thoughout my life as my parents had taught and examplified the gospel of Jesus Christ to me and as I lived the gospel myself. I'm so grateful for the knowledge I have of the gospel of Jesus Christ. It provides me with peace, strength, and hope to face each day no matter what comes my way. There are definitely some hard days, but I know through the help of my Savior, Jesus Christ, I can get through anything and come through as a better, stronger person.

How I live my faith

I currenlty work with young women. I teach lessons on Sundays to those ages 16-18. They are beautiful, talented girls and I love the opportunity to interact with them.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

I think that the biggeset way is by living His teachings and seeing what blessing it brings to our lives. Think of Christ as your friend. Go to him in pray and really talk to him as you would a dear friend. He loves us and wants to help us, but we have to be willing to take the first step by turning to Him. Show more Show less
