Hi I'm Steve

I grew up in Yakima Washington. I develop new technology in the Aerospace industry and love being a grandpa. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of 4 awesome children. The two oldest are married, ones serving a mission and the youngest is at home attending Jr. High and participating in various sports such as volleyball, basketball, gymnastics, track and fast pitch. I am a grandpa of the most wonderful little boy. I have worked in the Aerospace industry has an engineer for the last 24 years. I love to spend my free time with my family, playing golf, fishing and just being on the boat when the weather is good.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised by very active Mormon parents. They taught me at a young age the basics of the gospel of Jesus Christ. They always emphasied hard work, honesty and integrity. This belief carried me through my high school years. It was after high school i was struggling with direction in life. I was challenged by a close friend to read the Book of Mormon for it's value and truth. As I read the book, I continually had a clear peace of mind and strong feeling in my heart that it was true. It was from that experience that set the foundation of my life. It gave me hope and an understanding of how I could return to live in Gods presence with my family. I am truly greatfull for the scriptures, for prayer and for the fullness of the gospel that is on the earth today and that it is being lead by a living prophet of God and 12 apostles as in ancient times.

How I live my faith

I have spent the majority of my adult life serving as a leader over youth ages 3-18. I have enjoyed being a scoutmaster twice and participating in camps for both young men and young women. I enjoy the opportunity to teach them the basics of the gospel and life in general to prepare them for life after high school. I try to be a good father by being active in my childrens lives and to share in their successes and to be there through the challenges. I share everything I have with my precious wife. We strive to keep our communication lines open and to make decisions based on honesty and guidance from our Heavenly Father. In such as challenging world we live in today, I love to step back at the end of the day and simply recognize the goodness that happend and thank my Heavenly Father for those things.
