Hi I'm Matthew Rhodes

I'm a husband. I'm a father. I'm an optometrist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of a two little girls and I'm great at changing diapers. I don't have a thread of musical talent in my body, but that's not a problem because my wife more than makes up for what I lack - and much more. In fewer than 5 years of marriage, we have moved across state lines 4 times. I love warm weather and look forward to a nice Saturday jog every week, even if it is 110 degrees outside. And I wish everyone desired to spent Saturday mornings playing Ultimate Frisbee.

Why I am a Mormon

Many spiritual experiences in my life have solidified my faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ and His restored church. I'm a Mormon because I believe that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints teaches the true doctrine of Christ and is guided by Him.

How I live my faith

I regularly make visits to the houses of other members and neighbors as part of the missionary effort of my local congregation. I try to serve faithfully in church service assignments, including as a home teacher to two great families. And, strangely enough, I really enjoy the labor of helping neighbors and other church members move when they need assistance.
