Hi I'm Amy

I'm a wife, a mom by birth and adoption. I love to sew and teach sewing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm passionate about my family. When I was growing up and people asked what I wanted to be, the one thing I really knew was that I wanted to be a mom. That came by a long road for me. I have children by birth and by adoption. I think it's a gift to know that all of my children are a miracle. I love music. I sing, play the piano, the tin whistle and the ukulele. I like to garden, but I'm not good at it. I love to sew clothing and accessories, and I love to teach sewing.

Why I am a Mormon

Jesus Christ is my savior. I know that. There are times in my life when he has taken the burden of my personal pain. I have had many prayers answered, from small to large. I believe that God spoke not only to ancient prophets, but that he can speak to each of us in quiet ways. I feel him directing my life. I feel peace and happiness in living his gospel.

How I live my faith

I spend a little bit of each day praying and reading the scriptures. I can't count how many times I've read the Book of Mormon. Every time I read it, I find new inspiration and understanding. I've had different opportunities to grow through teaching others at church, and especially through working with children. Right now I get to be the leader of my son's scout group. It's a joy working with children, but especially seeing the growth in my own children.
