Hi I'm Becky

I am a wife and mother.I enjoy reading, exercising, spending time with my family, and blogging. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love spending time with my husband. He is my best friend and we love to laugh together. We have 4 children and I stay at home with them. They keep me busy and I am trying to do my best job as a mother. My mother-in-law once told me that with your family "the days are long, but the years are short." I try to keep that in mind with the daily ups and downs of motherhood. I look for the bright side and I am generally a very positive person. I gradutated from college with a Master's Degree in Dietetics and Child Nutrition...and wouldn't you know it...my children are 3 of the pickiest eaters known to man! I love to read all kinds of different books. I love going to the library and the bookstore and finding new things to read. I like to exercise and try to do so regularly. I like to do craft and sewing projects but have realized that there is "a time and season" for all things and have put my crafting on the back burner while my kids are still young. There just isn't enough time in the day for everything! Lately I have tried to simplify my life and get down to the things that really matter.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member all of my life. When I was a young adult I wanted to know for myself if this church was true. The scriptures tell us to pray, ponder, and study the scriptures to know if Christ's teachings are true, so that is what I did. I felt an overwhelming feeling that what I belived was true and to continue to follow Christ's teachings. This church has brought me happiness, peace, and an understanding of why we are here on earth. There is a purpose to our lives and living the commandments and following Christ's teachings helps us to know this purpose.

How I live my faith

Our church is run completely by volunteers, and everyone gets a chance. I have worked with children, taught classes to adults and teenagers and many other things. I enjoy going to church and I strive to be a good neighbor and friend and look for opportunities to serve others.
