Hi I'm Jason

I have a family, I'm a geek, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and father of two. I love to take hikes in the mountains and I am an avid photographer. When I'm not working, I am taking pictures or working in Computer Generated Imagery, exercising, or learning about the world on Wikipedia... oh and shooting my friends with a paintball marker.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church. I didn't always know it was true but through large and small experiences and right choices, I came to feel and then know that it was true. From time to time I would question myself if I was doing the right thing... and then I would pick up my camera, look into my children's faces, or read the scriptures and then I would remember who I was and why I need to do what the Lord has asked me to. It is sometimes not an easy life, but it is worth it.

How I live my faith

I spend a good amount of time with Scouting activities and helping young men develop skills that will help them later in life. I try to expose them to many different career fields and hobbies so that they can get an idea of what they might want to do *before* they get to college. I love to spend time outdoors and I have organized several scouting high adventure trips. I try to live my faith by being a good example to those around me. I falter sometimes, but that is sometimes a part of becoming a better person.

Are Mormons Christians?

We are the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Sometimes we are confused as being "Mormons", but it should never be forgotten that we believe in Christ and it is at the very center of our doctrine. Show more Show less
