Hi I'm Boyd

I'm a husband, a dad, a son, a brother, a college football fan, a lover of road trips, a Marketing Executive, and a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a husband, and a dad (to four fabulous kids). In December 2010, I completed graduate school (Indiana University MBA / Thunderbird School of Global Management), and now work as a Chief Marketing Officer for a great company. I love my work - it is challenging and satisfying! I also very much enjoy the people I work with every day. I love spending time with my wife, my children and my family. I'm often seen smiling widely while driving on winding, two-lane roads, often in search of the perfect diner or drive-in. I love old Volkswagens, country music, and watching college football games with family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are members of the Church, and as a child, I always went to church with them. As I grew older, I made a conscious decision to continue attending and to live the guidelines of the church. Having that internal compass to guide me during my teenage years helped me to make good decisions during a critical time in anyone's life. I always believed the teachings were true, and held fast to the Gospel. But yet it wasn't until I was actually serving as a missionary that my belief became knowledge, as I received a very direct, clear and loving answer from Heavenly Father upon asking, in prayer, about the truth of the Book of Mormon. Whenever things seem difficult in my life, I reflect back on that moment when God answered me, and it gives me reassurance that I can make it. In reality, it was a new perspective - an eternal perspective - that I gained when I received that answer. Since then, I have always tried to approach life with an eternal perspective, and keep everything else in proper context.

How I live my faith

Taking it one day at a time, doing the best I can, and trying to set a good example for my children.
