Hi I'm Micheline

I grew up in Belgium. I moved to the United States and raised my family. I am a mormon

About Me

I am a mother and grandmother, who loves to be around her family. I work from home, which gives me some flexibility to spend time with kids and grandkids. I enjoy meeting people and learning new skills and staying active. Gardening is my biggest hobby and being able to share what I grow, with family and friends, is very satisfying

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Catholic Church, although my family did not attend mass often, I received the usual ordinances. At the age of 14 I started to question what God was all about. I studied and contacted different religions, never feeling I was getting the answer to my questions. Then one day I met 2 missionaries from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, who invited me to their Sunday services. As soon as I walked into the room that served as the chapel, I felt a warm and good feeling coming over me. By the end of the service I knew I had found what I was looking for. Over the years, through good times and bad, through happy times and great trials, I have received a testimony, that God is our Father in Heaven and He sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to atone for our sins so that we may one day live with Him again. I have felt his love and comfort many times when I thought life was too hard and I didn't know what to do. I was blessed with wonderful, kind parents who are now deceased.Through the Gospel I have l learned that we can be a family forever. Our bonds do not have to be severed after death. That knowledge is the greatest comfort in this life: Our family is forever.

How I live my faith

At a young age I learned about the Word of Wisdom:. I do not drink alcohol, smoke or use drugs. I have learned giving service to others brings a kind of happiness you cannot buy. I have taught gospel lessons to both children and adults, and as I prepare I know I am learning more then I am teaching.
