Hi I'm Ray

I'm a Mormon. I learned the truth of Christ's reestablished church as a youth and have had that witness made stronger all my life.

About Me

I am a family man, husband to one, a father to 6, and grandfather of soon to be 18. I am now retired and on a full time mission in Sweden where I served 50 years ago as a young man. I worked as an accountant and worked in the profession for 35 years. I love to read, go to historical sites and museums. I like to travel if I am not rushed and have time to look around. I am very fond of old movies particularly anything with John Wayne. A great joy of my life is to be with family to watch and talk and listen to them as they grow into their own wonderful selves.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and learned to know my Heavenly Father by the teaching and loving example of my parents and many other good teachers, leaders, family, and friends. I gained my own witness as a youth that I am indeed a son of a loving Heavenly Father who cares for me and wants me to return to live with Him surrounded by my family. This foundation has been a firm rock on which to build my life. I also know that my elder brother Jesus Christ has prepared a way for me to accomplish these righteous desires. The teachings of the church are my beliefs and my hopes so it is not hard for me to be a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I know that I must nourish my faith with constant prayer, the reading of God’s word, meditation, and regular worship. I also know that I have a duty to do what I say I believe. I must be a worthwhile man, a loving husband, a concerned father and grandfather, a good friend. I must not tarnish my family name and reputation. I must support my family, fellow church members, work associates, neighbors, and friends with my time. I must be a reliable, trustworthy, dependable go-to guy to my Heavenly Father and any of His children in the church, in the community, and in the workplace.
