Hi I'm Tyler

I'm a dad, attorney, Democrat, and outdoorsman.

About Me

I am a husband, father, attorney, and lover of the outdoors. I enjoy spending time with my wife and three boys, and I am an avid reader of non-fiction books. I studied chemistry and microbiology as an undergraduate, and I love to continue to learn. In my free time you'll find me fly-fishing a river or skiing (alpine or Nordic) somewhere in the western U.S. or Canada. I am blessed to live and work in one of the most beautiful places in the world.

Why I am a Mormon

My faith provides me with knowledge that brings me peace in the midst of the maelstrom of life and allows me to look forward with hope. I am able, through my faith, to understand the purpose of my life, my relationship with God, and the way I need to treat other people.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving others and trying to be the best person I can. My religion's lay clergy structure ensures that each member has numerous opportunities to serve in leadership positions. I am no exception. However, I find that the best way to live my faith is to follow the Savior's example by personally ministering to those in need, whether the need is physical, spiritual, or emotional. I find the greatest joy is serving others.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

We believe that it is through grace we are saved. Although each of us will try to do our best, we will fall short. We believe that we can rely upon grace to bridge the gap between our imperfections and our perfect Father in Heaven. Show more Show less
