Hi I'm Terry

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife a mother a sister and a grandmother. I love to sing and I love to dance, read, be with friends, go to movies, travel and work with family history. I love the outdoors, the mountains, the ocean, children and being with my family. I love history, and I love my country so I am interested in working to keep the values that brave men and women fought to put in place when our country was still in it's infamcy.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family where my father was an inactive member of the Mormon Church. My mother was Jewish. My older siblings had been going to church and took me with them. Growing up in the Church gave me a head start but I had to know for myself if the teachings were true because after my brother and sister left home, I was going to Church by myself. I gained a knowlege and testimony of prayer and that God answers prayers even from a small child. Later on, I would find that when I heard something in Church and felt warm and peaceful in my heart, I knew that what I was hearing was true. I would learn a principle, and pray about it and know that it was true. The more I studied, the more I learned. The more I learned the more I wanted to learn. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has been the greatest blessing in my life. I know where I was before I came to this earth, I know why I am here and I know where I am going when I leave this earth. My family that have gone before me will be waiting for me and we have the opportunity to be together forever. I know that this life is a temporary place designed for me to gain a body and to learn as much as I can and to serve others in every way that I can. Then when this life is finished, my life will continue on and I can live eternally with my family and my Father in Heaven and His Son, Jesus Christ. My greatest teacher was the Savior. I have always felt His Spirit leading me by the hand, What a Blessing!

How I live my faith

I try to live my religion each and every hour of each and every day. I try to be an example to my family as well as my friends and neighbors. My religion is not a Sunday only Religion. I work with small children 18 months to 12 years of age. In the past, I have worked with teenagers as well as women of all ages. I try to serve my community by working in the political processes. I am active in my neighborhood and keep up with friendships old and new.
