Hi I'm Melissa

I'm an adoptive mother. I'm a runner and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My husband and I struggled with years of infertility, and so we got the great opportunity to adopt our sweet daughter. I love being a new mom. I also love running! I recently combined my 2 favorite things, motherhood and running, and started a small business called Strong Moms.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I want Christ to be the center of my life. I want my family to be together forever. I want to teach our daughter what it means to be a true Christian and how to serve others always. I'm a mormon because it makes me a better person, and I'm proud to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

How I live my faith

Being a leader in our woman's group allows me to serve the women in my community, daily. I love how I feel when I get out of my "little world" and serve others. I love trying my hardest to make a difference in the lives of the women around me.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Melissa
I believe that my family can be together FOREVER!! My husband and I adopted a baby girl in May 2011. We believe that if we are constantly striving to be good people, and living the principles that we know to be true, that we will be connected to our daughter and each other for eternity. We are able to be a "forever family" because of the temple. In the temple, we make promises to our Heavenly Father that allows us to be "sealed" or connected to our sweet daughter for eternity. Our family relationships bring us our greatest happiness. Show more Show less
