Hi I'm Cam

I'm a musician, I'm albino, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I grew up in California and Idaho and served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of latter Day Saints in Alaska. I'm albino which means I have no pigment (color) in my skin, hair, or eyes. Because of that, I am also visually impaired. I have 2 brothers and a sister. my younger brother and sister are also albino. It was definitely a different experience growing up in a family where 3 of the 4 kids are white as snow. We get stared at a lot but usually we can't see the people staring so it doesn't matter. I love playing piano, the guitar, the ukulele, singing, writing and recording music. I love to snowboard. I love football. Overall, I just love life. I believe if you aren't having fun living, you're not living right. I believe this life is about finding true happiness and joy.

Why I am a Mormon

There's something about the gospel of Jesus Christ that you just can't put into words. Try to define a Mormon. You think of things about how Mormons can't do this or that, and it's true. we are a different people and the Lord blesses us for it. You think of Mormons as family oriented people. Very true, we are, and the Lord makes us happier for it. But, being a Mormon is about a lot more than just a list of do's or don'ts. following the gospel of Jesus Christ makes us truly happy. the commandments help us to stay safe from the evils in the world and the blessings and the joy that comes from knowing and serving our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ make us happy. To me, being a Mormon means being happy.

How I live my faith

The greatest example Jesus Christ set for us was his perfect example of love. Moroni, a Book of Mormon prophet, and Paul, the apostle, both taught us that charity is the pure love of Christ and that without charity, "we are nothing," and "whoso is found possessed of it at the last day, it shall be well with him." The best way I know how to live my faith is to truly love and show my love for the Lord and for everyone I come in contact with. Christ taught, "inasmuch as ye have done it unto the least of these thy brethren, ye have done it unto me."
