Hi I'm Spencer

I love Settlers. I love Sundays. I love Sleeping. I'm such a Mormon.

About Me

Just living the dream here in Alaska. Serving the Lord and spreading the word. I'm addicted to playing Settlers of Catan, Munchkins, and Stratego for right now. I beat the World of Warcraft system by dropping the game cold turkey at level 79 before the new Cataclysm expansion came out. I enjoy basically all sports but find raquetball and ping pong to be the best relieving. I enjoy me some music and wish my hair was long again. I love plays/musicals like Phantom of the Opera and Wicked. I love Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit and Star Wars. Jedi for life!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church, so I was baptized at 8. I've continued to be a Later Day Saint because this is God's true church and I find my solace in the Book of Mormon. Having the guidance of a living prophet is one of the greatest blessings we have, and understanding God's plan for us sweetens the deal. Yup, that's it for now. To Be Continued...

How I live my faith

I currently get to live my faith on my shirt. I'm a missionary here in Alaska and enjoying the blessings and trials that come with it. You can tell when someone is a true Christian when you see them live their faith every day of the week and not just on Sundays. When you live your faith you're simply trying to live as Jesus did. He is are truest example and the one to turn to in any time of need.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

The Atonement. It simply makes up three points in Jesus' life. 1- His suffering in the Garden of Gethsemane 2- His suffering on the cross, and 3- His resurection. It was necessary for him to do this so that we could become cleansed from all of our sins. He was the great and last sacrifice that enabled everyone to become clean, or in other words able, to enter back into our Heavenly Father's presence. Christ suffered so that we would not have to. We can be spotless as we take upon us the name of Christ and do as he would have us do; simply, keep the commandments of the Father. Fact. Show more Show less
