Hi I'm Todd

I was born in Salt Lake City and have been a Mormon all my life. As a business consultant, I enjoy solving business problems.

About Me

I'm the father of 5 daughters, two of which are married. As such, I now have sons, which I trying to get used to having spent my life living with 6 women. As a family we love spending time on our boat waterskiing and tubing. As we vacation each year, we love eating good food from around the world. I love working with business professionals from around the country assisting them with marketing and business challenges.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a member of the LDS church all my life and my ancestors actually were mormon pioneers who migrated from the midwest in the 1800s. I joined the church from family tradition, but have remained a member because of the testimony I gained years ago prior to being a missionary in Brazil. I knew that I could not go out for 2 years to teach others about something that I did not have a firm and passionate knowledge of its truthfulness in my own mind and heart. So, I decided to read the Book of Mormon with the purpose of discovering for myself the truthfulness of that book of scripture as well as the church overall. I wanted to know from God if all that I'd been taught from my infantcy was in fact true. With that, I read and prayed to God and a feeling came over me that I just cannot deny that this is a book of scripture from the Savior, Jesus Christ and that His church is in the earth and it is the church that I have belonged to all my life. With this new found knowledge, I've lived, taught, and studied the Gospel of Jesus Christ and strived to be like Him as much as I can every day. I have had stumbles in my life, but have been able to repent of them and correct my course. The Lord Jesus Christ indeed lives, he is our Savior and Redeemer and paid for my sins and misdeeds and I love Him for that great sacrifice.

How I live my faith

Living the teachings of the church is not always easy. As member of the mormon church, we are expected to participate in multiple activites and not just on Sundays. Our faith keeps us busy and engaged all the time. I personally love that aspect as it helps me teach my children correct principles, how to provide meaningful service, and brings happiness into my life that comes no other way. As a member, we are all asked to participate in the administration of the church. Currently, I am the religious leader of our congregation. As the leader, I'm asked to drive the business of the church for our congregation, be the spiritual leader, and teach those around me the doctrine of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I feel this is a very sacred calling and trust that I've been put in and take my responsiblities very seriously. The Savior asked us to serve one another and I know of no better way to do that than by teaching, leading, and being an example to those around us. My favorite part of my responsibility is working the teenagers in our area. I have a unique opportunity to get to know them at a level that no many others do, spend time at fun activities with them, as well as just spending time with them.

Is it true that Jesus appeared in North America after his crucifixion and resurrection according to the Book of Mormon?

Todd
It is true that Jesus Christ visitied the ancient peoples who lived in America. World history tells of the ancient civilizations of the Aztecs, Mayans, and others. The stories from these peoples tell of a prophet who taught them and performed miracles. We believe that this was Jesus Christ. The Book of Mormon teaches us of His visit and instructions to these people. Show more Show less
