Hi I'm Rachel

I am a Wife, Mother of 7, Hairdresser, Author, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Utah. I attended BYU-Hawaii where I met my husband. We eventually moved to Utah where we started our family and business adventures. We owned a Salon, Gift Shop, Dry cleaners, wedding consultant business, and I co-authored a book on the business of Cosmetology and traveled around educating people on the subject. After many years we decided to settle down and enjoy our family so we moved to Colorado and had several more children. Now I get to stay at home and still do a little hair on the side. I love being a mom. My 7 children are the most important thing in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in Utah and I have been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints all my life. My father immigrated from The Netherlands with his family when he was a child, so they could have Religious freedom. So I have grown up to appreciated the fact that I have been blessed to believe as I choose. When I was in Collage I had a sister killed in a car accident. I prayed very hard, and I knew that God was there for me and that I was living his plan. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints can help us understand why we are here and help us through our trials and tribulations in life. We are not perfect and we need his help to return to live with him again someday.

How I live my faith

I am enjoying the Journey of life each day. I try to be a little better today than yesterday. I love my family and know that they are important in my life. I try to be a good mom, friend, and neighbor. At church, I get the privilege to work with all the Primary Children. I am the Secretary for the Primary in my ward. We have many children in the Primary, it is so fun to be with them each week.
