Hi I'm Hiro

I'm Japanese, a pianist, an avid reader, a convert and a Mormon.

About Me

I am Japanese working and living in the Pacific Northwest. I speak Japanese and was a Japanese sign language translator for many years. I have been married for twenty five years. My wife and I love working in the yard and love to read all kinds of books. I am passionate about playing the piano and collecting Seattle Mariners baseball memorabilia. I look forward in the future when things settle down to visiting other countries and experiencing their cultures.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have found the answers to the questions I had before I joined the church. The Gospel of Jesus Christ changed my life totally. I am a better man, husband, and person because of learning and applying the Gospel principles in my life. The feelings that I get from listening to the Holy Ghost and obeying the commandments have made a great change in my life. I believe that God lives and he knows me and loves me personally. I also know that everyone else can feel these same things. This blessing is not for me only. Our Heavenly Father wants everyone to feel his love for them. They simply need to pray and find out for themselves.

How I live my faith

I currently serve as a Bishop of our Ward, which takes up a lot of my time and energy. But I wouldn’t trade the opportunity to serve others for anything in the world. I love meeting members and non-members, getting to know them, listening to their life stories, and building strong relationships. I am blessed to see how the Gospel of Jesus Christ impacts others in positive ways and changes their lives for the better.
