Hi I'm DeVon

I'm a retired Boeing engineer. I have lived in western Washington for almost 50 years and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle. I have 3 children, 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. I have been married to my wonderful childhood sweetheart for over 50 years. My hobbies include working on my computer, doing genealogy work and building things out of wood. I am blessed to have most of my family living here in the area and enjoy visiting with them and helping them with various projects around their homes.

Why I am a Mormon

My family history goes back to the time of the restoration of the gospel. I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and have been active in the church all my life. The church is the center of my life and any success that I have achieved in my life has been because of the influence of the church in my life. I love my family and am grateful for the knowledge that I have that I can be together with them throughout eternity. I know that my Father in Heaven loves me and knows me as an individual. I know that our church is lead by a real live prophet of God here upon the earth and that by following his counsel and teachings we can return and live with our Father in Heaven.

How I live my faith

By trying to the best of my ability to live the teachings of my church I have learned how to be a better husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. I have enjoyed working with the youth in scouting and other programs throughout my life. Several of my grandsons are fourth generation Eagle scouts and are setting good examples for those that follow. Over the years I have held many positions of leadership over both youth and adults. All these experiences have helped me to become a better member of my community and to be of greater service to others.
