Hi I'm Jay

I have an awesome family. I consult business owners everyday [but Sunday]! I love being a Mormon.

About Me

I have a wife and four daughters. I am a management consultant to small business owners and entrepreneurs. Love my work but believe it's important to have as much fun as I can everyday. Like golf and other outdoor exercise. Biking, hiking, running, weight lifting and more...

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints my whole life. I have always believed the things I've learned. I believed the Book of Mormon to be true. Even as a child I believed that Joseph Smith was a real Prophet who did see God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ. It just felt right and I never had anything but good feelings about it. No one's life is perfect. Was a teenager once. I realized I wasn't as happy as I could be. I believe the Holy Ghost helped me make that realization. My thoughts, feelings and focus began to change. I was once speaking with a cousin I had not seen or spoken with in many years. She seemed to be so happy and filled with enthusiasm and light. As we talked I had a thought come into my mind, "I used to be like that. Why am I not as happy." I then heard, "It's because of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in her life." I am a Mormon because I know Jesus Christ lives. I believe the Book of Mormon is true scripture testifying of Jesus Christ's life and divinity, like the Holy Bible. I've read all of the New Testament and all of the Book of Mormon many times. I am a Mormon because I believe this is Christ's church with living Prophets and Apostles. Modern day revelation with all the answers to life's questions. God does speak to man in our day. We need that revelation, answers and understanding to make the right choices and to know why we are making those choices. We are here for a reason and that is to learn to overcome ourselves and align ourselves with God's will. His will is our happiness and returning to our Him. It is deep lasting satisfaction, fulfillment and joy - even here on earth where there are so many disappointments. Do you ever wonder... Who are you? Where did you come from? Where are you going? "If a man die, will he live again?" All the answers are here. I invite you to learn more. You are safe here.

How I live my faith

I hope to do better. I don't mind sharing with people that I work to develop my relationship with our Father in Heaven. To pray and listen and attend the Temple [which is a remarkable blessing], as often as I can can. I love it! In church, I home teach several families. This is where we go to their homes each month to check up on, share a message or do some service for them. It's my role to help everyone share the Gospel with others. We do individual and community service pretty regularly. I spend a lot of time with my wife and daughters and work hard to be a good example avoiding anything that would create a distance between me and the Lord. It's important my family know His example is the best path for our lives. We go to church every week even on vacation. This is because I love to feel the Spirit of the Lord. It gives me peace. My friends wonder how I can live this way because I'm pretty freed up and don't like restrictions. But to me it's not restrictive at all. It's actually the opposite. I really enjoy it because the Spirit is there. I live it because He lives. "Though your sins be as scarlet, they can be as white as snow." I know in my heart and soul that Jesus is the Christ. He gave Himself so we can have peace in this life and eternal life. Pretty amazing.
