Hi I'm Teresa

I'm a wife. I'm a mother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and a mother of six children. I enjoy sewing, reading and taking pictures of my kids. I love to travel and spend time with my husband.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were divorced when I was a young girl. As a result I grew up in a home where my mom was the sole provider for our family. We didn’t have a lot and we struggled quite a bit. My mom was a convert to the church and she did her best to teach us correct principles and keep us going to church. When I was 12 there came a point in my life where I was really unhappy and I felt completely alone. I remember I was having a hard time with how my life was going and I had started making bad choices. I knew what I was doing was wrong but I wondered if it really mattered. I wanted to fit in with my friends but I didn't feel good about some of the things I was doing. One day when I was all alone just pondering I realized that I had a choice to make. I could follow Heavenly Father’s teachings and be happy or I could keep doing what my friends were doing and keep feeling bad. That was the turning point for me. In that moment I knew that I wasn’t alone and that Heavenly Father was aware of me. Since then I have come to develop a firm testimony of the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that Heavenly Father loves me, knows me personally, and wants me to be happy and return to live with Him some day. This is what I want more than anything; for myself, my family, and for all those whom I care about. I'm so grateful for the decision I made that day because my life just keeps getting better and better.

How I live my faith

In my community I try to be a part of my children’s lives by helping at their school and volunteering at all of their different activities. At church I help in our women's group by organizing monthly activities where we spend time getting to know each other better, providing service to others, and we also do fun activities and learn new skills.
