Hi I'm Margaret

All that I truely want in this life is for each member of my family to know and experience true joy and happiness. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a Master's in Special Education. Reaching that goal didn't happen until my forties, but I did it! I'm a wife, a mother, and a grandmother. I work at staying fit with healthy foods and exercise. Counted cross-stitch has always appealed to me because I can create something beautiful from blank fabric. I also love researching my family history. The stories that I discover make me feel so close to my ancestors.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a convert. At the age of twelve, I knew in my heart that something was missing in my relationships with my Heavenly Father and my Savior, Jesus the Christ. When I was eighteen, I promised Heavenly Father that I would search and find the true church. I just felt that I had not yet found it. After being taught the restored gospel of Jesus Christ, I joined this church. The questions that had nagged me for so many years were finally answered. As the years have passed, I have been learning how to continue buliding and strengthening those relationships with my loving Heavenly Father and my Savior as well as being more sensitive to the promptings of the Holy Ghost. I know that I am a child of God.

How I live my faith

Although I have received formal traing as a teacher, I actually learned how to teach by doing just that as a member of this church. Over the years, I have taught adults, youth, and young children. Each calling, as we call it, has stretched me and helped me to grow spiritually. These challenges haven't always been easy, but they have helped me to realize just how special and important I am to my Heavenly Father and my Savior. My daily scripture study grounds me for each day and whatever comes my way. As a convert, I was raised with the Bible. Now, I also have access to so much more scripture (The Book of Mormon, The Pearl of Great Price, and The Doctrine and Covenants). I am so thankful that we have a living prophet who humbly shares with each of us new revelations that can guide us through the scary times of this life. It is such a beautiful thing to see and understand how all of this scripture ties so well together. That makes such perfect sense because it all comes from our Heavenly Father. The Bible stories from my youth are stronger and richer for me because of testimonies from additional scriptures.
