Hi I'm Jeanine

I'm a wife, a mother of 5 great kids and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a Bachelor's degree from BYU in Spanish with a minor in Linguistics, as well as a certificate from travel school. I married my best friend; the man of my dreams. I worked full time as a receptionist until we had our first baby. Currently I work part-time since all 5 of our kids are in school. I love watching our children develop their talents. I enjoy reading novels, writing, and blogging all of our family's adventures! I love the study of language and my goal is to go back to school through BYUI and receive the TESOL certificate. But for now, I am re-living elementary, middle and high school studies as I help to raise our children. I try to enjoy our busy life, taking it one day at a time!

Why I am a Mormon

My mom was a convert to the church when I was 2, but my dad wasn't baptized until I was 21. I was baptized when I was 8, and my siblings and I were raised in the church. From the time I was 12, I wanted to serve as a missionary when I grew up so that I could share with others what was so important in my life. I had the opportunity when I was 21 to serve as a missionary in Barcelona Spain for 1 1/2 years. I have always 'felt' that the Church of Jesus Christ is true. I am grateful to be a member of His church, for all of its teachings and principles that have always guided me and helped me make good decisions in my life. Those same teachings are still an integral part of our family's life. In this world of moral decline, I am grateful for unchanging standards that bring true happiness. I know that we are each a child of God, that we are here on earth for a reason, and that we can return to live with our Father in Heaven and our Savior Jesus Christ again. There have been innumerable times in my life that I have felt and continue to feel truth confirmed through the Holy Ghost. I know that the Book of Mormon is true, written by prophets of old who lived on the American continent; prophets like those of the Bible. I know that God called a prophet in the early 1800's to translate the history of the people who had lived here in the Americas. I feel the truth of the Book of Mormon as I read from its pages daily. And I know that God has continued to call prophets since that time who reveal His word to us to help lead us back to Him.

How I live my faith

I have served in various capacities in the church, and currently I'm serving as one of our congregation's family history consultants. I am also a visiting teacher and have the privilege to 'care for' other women in our congregation, checking in with them at least on a monthly basis. I also support my husband who is currently the Bishop of our congregation, and our children in their responsibilities. I love the opportunities I have to provide service!
