Hi I'm Mike

I am a U.S./Southeast Asian historian, I love to play Ultimate Frisbee, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a PhD student. My focus is U.S. foreign relations in Southeast Asia. More specifically I study Cold War politics, U.S. foreign relations, and Southeast Asian history. I love to play Ultimate Frisbee. I weight-lift four days a week and run five days a week. I enjoy cycling, fishing, hiking, and camping. I am starting to pick up golf. Cooking is one of my therapies. My family is originally from Laos. They fled the country after the Viet Nam War in 1979. I have one older brother, mom and dad, and a niece.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have prayed for myself and know that this church has all the truths that Christ taught while He was on earth. Every thing good has come because of my membership in this church. I am happy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by ministering to other members of my congregation. I visit a number of people often to see if their needs are met. I share a spiritual thought and become their friend. In my congregation I participate in sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with those who do not know of my faith. I pray and read my scriptures often so as to be guided by the Holy Spirit to those who could use my help.

What is the Law of Chastity?
