Hi I'm John

I grew up in Mesa, Arizona. I am a pool technician. I'm a mormon

About Me

Ever since I can remember I have always loved sports. Football was always my favorite. I loved to kick the football and would practice for hours out in my backyard. I eventually became the kicker for our high school football team. I am now married to a wonderful wife and together we have three beautiful daughters. I currently am a pool technician and enjoy helping others by taking care of their pool needs.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a mormon family. My parents were the greatest. We always knew they loved us kids and wanted the best for us. We would read the scriptures together as a family every day. I was taught to pray every day and so all of this had a positive impact on me. Over time and as I got older I began to study the scriptures on my own. Eventually I came to know that without question there was a God, that He is my Heavenly Father. I came to know for myself that Jesus Christ is my Savior. I Like me best when I try to be kind towards those around me and make others feel better about themselves. I think the key to a happy life is serving those around us.

How I live my faith

Each day I start out by reading the scriptures. It helps remind me that I should always be kind and strive to keep the commandments that day. The Book of Mormon has been a great strength to me in my life. So through out the day I try to treat others the way Christ would. I try to be courteous with those I come in contact with. I do my best to be honest in all that I do and say. God loves all His children and wants the best for each one of us. Thats what I try to remember. I have a calling as a home teacher which means I, along with another member(male) of our church, are assigned to watch over the needs of three families that are ward members. Once a month we will formally visit them to see how they are doing and provide a spiritual message for them. During the month we may provide service to them in some way or another. It is wonderful to serve the members of our church.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

No, that is simply a misunderstanding. We believe Joseph Smith was a prophet. We respect him as the prophet the Lord called in these latter days to restore the church that Jesus Christ had established. Show more Show less
