Hi I'm Darrold.

I'm from Idaho, and grew up in the Northwest. I've been a Mormon all of my life.

About Me

Grew up in Oregon. Graduated from High School in Roseberg, OR. I went to Oregon State University. Earned my Bachelor's and Masters degrees there. Spent 34 years teaching, and now I'm a substitute teacher now in Casa Grande, AZ. I've been a lifelong Scouter, I'm a Silver Beaver in Scouting. And still enjoy hiking and camping with the scouts. I was in the Oregon National Guard for 8 years and enjoy shooting that I earned in the Army. My hobbies include Skiing, Scuba diving, Hiking, Woodworking, and Metal working.

Why I am a Mormon

My lifelong love of our Savior, Jesus Christ, is best served in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the Mormons). I am able to serve others as Christ has called us to do. The adopting of 17 children is one of the ways that my wife and I has served others. Along with the 8 nature children and 3 step children; we had great fun during Family Home Evening Nights, and learning to care with our newest member of our family. I pray that I can always follow my Savior.

How I live my faith

As a teacher, I have been able to influence students concerning the dangers of alcohol, drugs, tobacco, and morality. By living the standards of the Mormon church, I set an example before those youth and students that I serve. I can truly tell them that by following the Savior we all can have a great life.
