Hi I'm Daniel

I'm from Gainesville FL. I'm studying to be an elementary school teacher. My first word was "chocolate". I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to do EVERYTHING! Some of my favorites are sports, camping, hiking, woodworking, fixing things, reading, writing poetry, crafts, origami, learning to do new things, and being with people I love. I've been married for just over one year now and loving every moment of life. I'm a college student hoping to eventually have my future dream job of teaching elementary school.

Why I am a Mormon

There are a lot of us who were born into families that are members of the Mormon faith and I'm proudly one of them, but what's most important is that I MAKE THE CHOICE every day to live the way I do and believe what I do. I think most of us experience a time in life when we have to make a decision whether we want to continue believing what we have been brought up to learn or take a step away from what we know and search things out for ourselves. I did. I believe that God is our Father, that He loves us and is mindful of each of us. I believe that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ to buy our freedom from eternal captivity and death at the price of his own life. I believe that He is our salvation and that only in and through Him can we have joy. I know that He yet lives, that he was resurrected so that we too could have everlasting life. I believe in the Book of Mormon as a second witness of Him and a companion to the Holy Bible. They compliment each other and jointly testify of Christ. I believe that God has once more called prophets upon the earth to guide us to Him and teach us what we must do to have eternal life. I love my God, I love my Savior.

How I live my faith

One of the greatest experiences I have ever had was serving as a missionary for the Lord. As a missionary, for two years straight, I studied the gospel, learned to speak Spanish, walked from home to home with the message of Christ, felt the sorrow of every door slammed in my face, and known the joy of every one who took the time to listen to our message and change their lives for the better. Now that I'm home, I get to find ways here and there to serve and live my faith. I've been able to help out with the cleaning up in the aftermath of several hurricanes that have caused so much damage. It never ceased to amaze me the goodness of the people we helped how offered to feed us and pray for us as we tried to serve. Most often I just try to live my life the way I know God would want and though I know I'm far from perfect, at least in trying I succeed.
