Hi I'm Oscar

I am a world traveler. I am a photographer. I am a social entrepreneur. I am an outdoor enthusiast. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a national park fanatic and a professional student. I love to travel and immerse myself in different cultures. I've visited/lived in over 10 countries. I am working towards a 3rd degree, this time in nursing, and hope to spend my life educating future nurses and helping to improve health in developing nations.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love service and working with others. In my teenage years I discovered this church and fell in love with the importance based on serving others and the importance of each individual member playing a key role in the church and community. I helped with tornado relief and hurricane relief. I have served individuals as well as groups. I know the importance one person has, and the lord has stresses this in his church. I have developed a personal witness of the Savior and his living church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through service. I try to improve people's lives by making people healthy and happy. Our savior used service to help people drawer nearer to the Lord, and I hope to do the same. When we are happy, we naturally tend to help others be happy. All good feelings are of the Lord.

What is the Book of Mormon?

Oscar
The Book of Mormon is a compiled history of the prophets and civilizations of the people in the Americas. It was written by the prophets of old concerning their time and revelations of the Lord. It contains many important revelations and shows us the Lord cares about all his people. He provided the prophets in Jerusalem with revelations (the Bible), and he provided the prophets in the Americas (the Book of Mormon) with revelations. The Lord loves all his children, no matter where there are, and always provides for their needs through prophets and revelations pertaining to their needs. Show more Show less
