Hi I'm Jim

I love the outdoors and help people be happy. I also love family dinner conversations. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a husband and father to 5 children that keep me busy. I'm an Eagle Scout and volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America. I also love to camp, hike, golf, and spend time with my family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I grew up in a Mormon household and was taught the doctrine. I had to gain my own personal witness of its truthfullness. It wasn't until I was 17 years old that I gained my personal witness of the Book of Mormon and it's truthfulness along with the Bible. I accept Jesus Christ as my Savior.

How I live my faith

As a Christian, I have promised to follow Jesus Christ in all I do. I do my best to be honest with people. (With a last name of Crook, there's a lot of pressure). I try to treat others the way Jesus treated them. I love helping others. I feel a personal responsibility to teach all youth these values. I get a great satisfaction when I do something for someone else. That is one of the reasons I love to be in Scouting, it provides me with many opportunities to serve others and teach scouts to live by the Scout Oath - "On my honor, I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country, to obey the Scout Law, to help other people at all times, to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake and morally straight." The Scout Law - "A Scout is Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, and Reverent." I live my faith at home by loving, serving, and providing for my family. I try to be unselfish and be a good role model in all I say and do.
