Hi I'm Julie

I'm a wife and mother to four beautiful children. I used to teach high school English; now I tutor online. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a married mother of four, a BYU graduate, and a triathlete. I started doing triathlons after my third child, and I have loved them ever since. I also am an avid reader. If I don't have a good book to read, I feel like something is missing from my life. I stay at home fulltime with my kids, but I do a little tutoring online also. My husband and I met at BYU, and we have been happily married for 9 years. We hope to travel to New York for our 10th wedding anniversary and see some shows on Broadway.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, and as a teenager embraced my religion fully after praying and studying the scriptures. I believe that this church has the fulness of the gospel to help us come closer to Jesus Christ. I have seen the blessings that come from following the living prophet and obeying the commandments in my own life as well as in the lives of family and friends. This church embraces all that is good and beautiful in the world. I love the Book of Mormon. When I read its words, I want to be better and do better.

How I live my faith

I participate in my local congregation and community as much as I can. I volunteer at my children's school, helping in the classroom and teaching art classes. At church, I work with the children in teaching them the gospel. Currently, I am in charge of writing and organizing a program for the children to participate in that shows their parents and the rest of the people at church what they have been learning all year long. The program contains songs, memorized scripture readings, and personal testimony from the children. Contributing positively to my community and church is important to me, and I try not to turn down any opportunities that come my way.
