Hi I'm Marce

I'm a wife, a mother of four, a nurse, a quilter, a lover of football, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi I'm Marce. I am a mother of four and two of my children are already in college! I work part-time as a nurse. I'm so glad I can spend more time at home than away because I love to be there for my kids when they get home from school. I love to bake, so one of my favorite things to do is to have warm chocolate-chip cookies for my family when they get home. I love to watch football especially at the high school and college level (especially when my boys are on the field!) When I'm not busy driving kids to dance, horseback riding lessons, piano etc. I like to sew, read, listen to music and sometimes scrapbook. My husband and I love to travel both with and without the kids. If we are with the kids you'll most likely find us 4 wheeling somewhere or in the mountains. If it's just the two of us, we prefer the beach...I especially love nothing more on vacation then the ocean, the sun and a good book!

Why I am a Mormon

I am fortunate to have a strong heritage in The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. My ancestors joined the church just shortly after the fullness of the Gospel was restored to this earth through the prophet Joseph Smith. Even though I was raised in the church, I knew that I needed to gain my own personal testimony of this Gospel if I was to live it with my whole heart. I spent hours in the scriptures both the Bible and the Book of Mormon. I also spent time on my knees in prayer in order to discover this for myself. I know it's true! In this troubled world, there is nowhere else that I can find the peace that this Gospel brings. This Gospel has made it possible for me to develop a personal relationship with our Savior. I know that His atonement was for ALL of us. I love what this gospel does for our family. It gives us such a strong foundation and teaches basic principles that can bring happiness to all. I can't imagine raising a family without these principles as a guide. I love that this gospel is focused on the family because family is everything!

How I live my faith

I strive to live the Gospel everyday by the way I treat others around me. I know that our Heavenly Father and the Savior love us unconditionally and I try to see others as They see them. Being kind, serving others and being happy helps others see what having the Light of Christ is like. Living with the knowledge I have gives my life purpose. It gives meaning to the sometimes mundane tasks that come with motherhood. I know that my purpose is to raise these choice sons and daughters so that they will have the knowledge & desire needed to someday return to HIm. I absolutely love being a mother and I know that this is a divine quality that has been given to me from my Heavenly Father. I have had many opportunities to serve in the church but most of my service has been with the youth, specifically the girls ages 12-18. I've been with them through Sunday lessons, weeknight activities and my personal favorite...girls camp. I enjoy all these opportunities to teach them and of course in the end, they end up teaching me. I love my life. It isn't perfect and it isn't easy, but it is good. That goodness comes from knowing that my Savior lives.
