Hi I'm Tim Checketts

I like to run, sing and dance. I'm a bit of a nerd. I love my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to run, I did it all throughout Highschool. I ran Cross Country and Track. I like to swim, I swam for 3 years for my Highschool team. All throughout Highschool I sang in choir. I also did Show Choir for 2 years and a few other choral things. I have I big family, nine siblings and two parents. Three of my siblings were adopted from Nicaragua and I love them very much. I graduated early from Highschol and did a Semester of College in Idaho. I am currently serving a 2 year mission for Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I have read most of the Holy Bible in fact I'm working on finishing it right now. I have also read the Book of Mormon many times. By reading both of these books along with praying to know if Book of Mormon is true I felt the Spirit testify that the Book of Mormon is true. By coming to know that both these book that testify of Christ are true through the Spirit I believe that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is Christs' church. So I guess that's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I talk to God every day and ask him who I can help that day. Then I try and help as many people as I can.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Tim Checketts
Families are meant to be forever. Families are so important that the name, that best describes God, is"Father". This is also the name that Christ called out while he was suffering in Gesemanae... "Abba", Father. Christ is also the "son" of God, and we are his brothers and sisters as it says in Mathew in the Holy Bible. As we look at the relationship between The Father and The Son and know that we are also the Sons and Daughters of God it only makes sense that families are so important and that greatest beings ever are called by some of the simplest yet most meaningful names.
