Hi I'm Maci

I'm a military wife. I'm a dedicated mother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in Snowflake, Arizona. When I was 15 months old my father was killed in a car accident. My mother raised me and my sisters by herself. I grew up with great friends who were members of the church. This made it very easy to make right choices in high school. I moved to the Mesa right after graduation and met the love of my life. He was not a member of the church. But I fell in love with him and we were married a few years later. He served as a pilot in the military so we moved to OKC. Our 4 children were born while he was serving. It was when the Gulf War had just kicked off so he was deployed a lot. It was very difficult. I had to rely on my family and friends to help me get thru that. After 11 years active duty he got out of the military and we moved home so that my husband could pursue a career as a commercial pilot. Because of the people that we met at our last base he was interested in the church and wanted to know more. He took the discussions and was baptized later that year. A year later and the day after our 10 year wedding anniversary we were sealed in the Mesa Temple for time and all eternity. We have had the opportunity to be very involved with our children. Our son played football and we never missed a game. Our daughter was a cheerleader and we would love to go to her games and watch her cheer. We have been very blessed and we love our life!!!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I was born and raised in the church. I choose now to live this lifestyle because I love my church. I love that it is centered around families. I love my family and cant imagine being with out them. I am so thankful for the knowledge that I have that I can be with them for the eternities. I love that we have a prophet on the earth that leads and guides us. I love that men and women volunteer there time to ensure that our wards and stakes run smoothly. I love that we have temples that we can go to, where we can fell the spirit and have peace in our lives. I love the programs of the church that teach us to become better wives, mothers and friends. I know that our Heavenly Father loves me and he answers my prayers. I know that he sent his only son to atone for our sins. I am so thankful for my Savior Jesus Christ. I am thankful for the knowledge that he lives.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by fulfilling my calling. I work with the youth in my ward. I love them and the strong young people that they are. They teach me things every week. We plan activities for them every Wednesday. It is great to be a part of their lives this often. I had the opportunity to go to Girls camp with them this year. It was such a great experience to watch these young women gain their own testimonies of the truthfulness of the gospel. I live my faith by visiting woman just like me every month and serving them any way I can. I love the programs that the church offers that teach us to become better people. I also serve in my community. I serve on the parent/teacher committees at both of the schools that my children attend. I have been doing that for the past 13 years. I love being involved and doing as much as my schedule allows.
