Hi I'm April

I am a crafter, a casserole master, a mom and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I lived in Oregon, South Dakota, South Carolina, Ohio, Utah and finally Nebraska, where my husband and I intend to stay. My husband and I both graduated college this past April. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Home and Family Living. I emphasized in clothing construction. I have a 16 month old son who takes up most of my time and I am lucky enough to be able to stay home with him. I love to craft, sew, cook and garden. I would really love to learn to reupholster furniture. I love to read all kinds of books but I especially love historical fiction. My favorite pastime is spending time outdoors with my husband and son.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know it is true. I know that Heavenly Father not only has a plan just for me but because I know he knows me personally. I am a Mormon because I believe families can be forever and not just for this life. I believe that after I die I will be able to be reunited with family members that have passed on before me. I am a Mormon because I believe in what the Gospel teaches about the atonement, repentance and our Savior, Jesus Christ. I know that I am not perfect but I know that by keeping the commandments and repenting of any sins I commit I can return to live with my Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I work with the children in our branch. I am the chorister during music time. My goal is to help the children learn roughly a new song every month. Sometimes it is really hard because I work with some very spirited boys but we have a lot of fun too. I use things like pictures and games to help the kids learn the words. Before we moved to Nebraska I worked with the young women aged 12-18 and taught lessons for the adult women.
