Hi I'm Mike

I was raised in Iowa. I like theater, music and I have a bizarre sense of humor. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of one child. She is going into nursing. My first wife passed away in December of 2005. I was remarried and sealed in the temple April of 2010. I've been a diabetic since my first year of high school in 1969 and I lost my leg to gangrene in August of 2000. I am a great animal lover. I enjoy watching all kinds of movies on T.V. and I am active in community theater.

Why I am a Mormon

I had been talking with the missionaries for a few years, but never felt the need to change religion because I had been baptized. When my wife passed away I needed to know that there was a reason for her death and that we would see each other and be joined in heaven. The Mormon religion was the only one that could assure me of that fact. Because of the mormon religion I came to realize that all of this suffering and the losses in my life had served the greater purpose as a part of the greater plan.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving the branch that I'm in the best that I can. My body doesn't have much energy now but I give it my best. I serve as a branch mission leader. So basically I drive the missionaries around and help them out however needed. I love reading my scriptures, praying and attending church. I cant pick a favorite mainly because you cant have one without the other.
