Hi I'm Jordan Darrington

I'm a farm boy. I ride dirt bikes. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I grew up in a small town in Idaho on a dairy farm. I come from a big family. I grew up milking cows, changing water, driving tractors, riding atv's, and creating something to do with my family. In middle school I bought a dirt bike and that has been my source of fun ever since. I find accomplishment in building and going off jumps, climbing hills, and pushing myself to become better. My favorite thing to do is drive tractors and trucks, no matter what the job. I like to see things grow as I take care of them. I was involved in 4-H and FFA raising sugarbeets. I am an eagle scout and have always been involved in scouts and church. I just got home from serving a mission in Tempe, Arizona.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church. As I was actively attending church, prayed, and read the scriptures my testimony grew. It really became evident to me that the church is true as I started making life decisions and relied on these three things to make the decisions. I felt his love for me and the Holy Ghost helped me know when I was making the right choices. The hardest choice was to serve a mission. I was scared, but I knew and know that we have a prophet on the earth today. In the Fall of 2010 I accepted his invitation for all that are able to serve, to serve a mission. My true conversion came as I testified to people that this is the true church. The Holy Ghost confirmed to me that what I was saying was true. The gospel gives me purpose and direction in this life and helps me to be happy. The Lord gives me strength to go on and help bring others to him. I know that through Jesus Christ we can become better. He helps me through my trials. I know that he suffered for all our sins and that by accepting him and his teachings we can be made clean. I know that the Book of Mormon was written by ancient prophets for us and it was translated by Joseph Smith. By reading it we can pray and know for ourselves that this is the true church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by currently serving a mission in Arizona. Every day I go out and introduce people to the church and the Book of Mormon. As people are interested we teach them more and invite them to pray and find out for themselves that this church is true.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Jordan Darrington
Heavenly Father knows all things, he wants us to pray to him. He will answer your prayers. As you read the Book of Mormon: ponder what you read, pray to know specifically if the Book of Mormon is true, and continue to read and study and you will know by how you feel if it is true. Feelings of peace, hope, comfort, and happiness are from God. Once you know the Book of Mormon is true you will know that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God and translated it by the power of God, and that the church is true. Show more Show less
