Hi I'm Amber

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Thrift store shopping. Making borscht. Watching old movies. Listening to Latin music. Bonding with family. Eating Texas BBQ. Playing co-ed softball. Studying Family and Human Development. Really I just returned from living in Eastern Russia for 18 months, and now I'm trying to figure out how to adjust to living in the desert again but loving every minute of it!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I believe truth exists and is unchanging. If God is the same yesterday, today, and forever, then His church should be unchanging. I know there is more to life than just this life and that means what we do here is important! I have read and re-read the Book of Mormon, the book that supports the truthfulness of this church and this gospel, and I have felt the assurance that my decision to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the right decision.

How I live my faith

I just returned from an 18 month mission in Vladivostok, Russia. I loved helping the Russian people learn about their Heavenly Father and Savior, Jesus Christ. Before that though, I was studying at college, helping organize community service projects for the members of the congregation-which consisted of students from the university I was studying at. I loved being able to associate which members of the community of different faiths, trying to make the world a better place.
