Hi I'm Bailey

I grew up in Idaho. I love the mountains. My family means everything to me. I'm a teacher and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a fifth grade teacher. I love my job and am so blessed to work with amazing people, who are like my family. I have a Master's degree in education and value the things I have learned to make me a better teacher. I love to learn and plan on continuing my education as much as I can. I am the youngest of four children and the aunt to seven of the cutest kids. Spending time with my family is one of my favorite things. I am very close with my immediate family, but also with my extended family. I feel blessed to have cousins who are my best friends. I have amazing friends, who are so good to me. I feel blessed for the opportunity to have them in my life. I know they were placed in my life for a purpose, which is another reason why I know the Lord is aware of me in my life. I love people and thrive off their spirits, and their love for me. I'm a pretty happy person and I love to laugh. I also love to read, cook, shop, make crafts, decorate, and play sports.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a Mormon and am grateful for it and proud of it. It has given me a sense of purpose in life. I feel so much love from my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Being part of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is and has been such a blessing in my life. It brings so much joy to me. It helps me put things into perspective when life gets hard. Life isn't easy--there will be trials and hardships, but through faith, we can have the knowledge that our Heavenly Father is aware of us. He wants us to be happy and has given us the Gospel on the earth so that we can live a happy life. He has given us a prophet on the earth, President Thomas S. Monson, so that he can reveal His teachings to us. It is comforting to know that I can be with my family forever through the sealing power of the Temples. I can see loved ones again who have passed on before me. The knowledge of Jesus Christ's sacrifice and Atonement helps me through times of difficulty and also happiness. I know that Jesus Christ suffered for the sins of everyone. He knows everything we are feeling, and that is so comforting to know. I know that He died and was resurrected, so that we can do the same. I have faith that we all will be resurrected someday and live together with our families forever. That is why I am a Mormon--because of the joy and happiness and comfort that the Gospel brings into my life.

How I live my faith

In my ward, I help organize activities for single adults to get together after church and get to know each other better. We eat and socialize. It is a way to make new friends and grow the relationships we have with one another. I also live my faith through daily prayer and scripture study. The communication between Heavenly Father and people here on the earth is open. He invites us to pray to Him, and we are blessed as we do. He listens to us and answers our prayers. I feel His continuous love for me each time I pray. The scriptures have become a huge blessing in my life lately. I have committed myself to reading and studying them and have learned so much, and become more sensitive to the Holy Ghost. I know that as we read the scriptures, we truly become closer to our Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. The scriptures are full of revelations and lessons that are applicable to us in our day. Attending the temple is something that I feel so blessed to be able to do. It is such a special place to me and I am so happy that I get to go and perform the necessary ordinances for those who have passed on. I feel a responsibility to do the work and am grateful for my desire and ability to do so.
