Hi I'm Kate

I'm from Utah but now call Arizona home. I'm a mom/wife and always will be a teacher at heart. I love to travel. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a SAHM of one child (so far). He is such a wonderful blessing to my husband and me. I graduated from college with an Education Degree. I taught 5th and 6th grade for 6 years and then got to stay at home when my child was born. I love exercising, blogging, crafting, fashion, and just spending time with friends and family.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up Mormon but it wasn't until high school, after attending seminary and studying the scriptures on my own, that my testimony started to take off. I fervently prayed to know if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was true. I got my answer that it was, so ever since I have chosen to follow Christ's example and His Gospel. There was no denying the feeling of God's power in my life. I knew it and so did He. I know that God lives and loves us. I testify that He has a plan for each of us. It may not always be what "our" plan is or what we want it to be, but it is what is best for us. It's to help us grow and learn so we can one day become more like God.

How I live my faith

I haven't moved around too many times in my life but when I do, it's big. With all the apprehension a move can bring, one thing is constant and true. The Church is the same no matter where you are. Recently, I moved to a new neighborhood/ward. I was desperate to meet new friends. I am so thankful for the insired program of Visiting Teaching. With this program, sisters are assigned a companion and several sisters to teach/visit/ and become friends. In return, you are given sisters to come to the same to you. In my desperation, I was able to meet some new friends instantly and was welcomed to the ward and neighborhood with open arms. Currently, I serve some of the youth in the ward ages 4-5. I also work with boys ages 8-10 in the scouting program.
