Hi I'm Kenny Lukens

I Love working on cars, cooking, and boating. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I Grew up in Southern California and eventually moved to the hot desert of Arizona. While growing up my Dad owned a construction business In downtown Los Angeles that he Managed for Quite some time. My Mom was a great Stay at home worker, keeping the House in order. I don't Remember at what age I started boating with my family or even when my dad purchased the boat, but being out on the lake every summer has helped me grow closer to my family and my love for life. As I grew a little older I slowly started Helping my dad repair the family cars. It was only a short while later down the road that I realized I had developed a passion for cars and Everything that goes along with them. I am currently attending college to further my passion in the auto industry and hope to one day open up my own restoration shop.

Why I am a Mormon

My whole life I have heard Members of the Church Of Jesus Christ who say they were a Convert to the Church . Being a member From the time I was born, I was always envious of those members who found the Church and Had some Miraculous Change Happen in their Life. I Guess you could say I wanted a Similar "Miraculous" event to happen to me that would let me know the Church Was True. While I was waiting for God to just "Give me an Answer" I Realized most of the time it does not work that way. We must be willing to put in the work to show god we have a desire to know, only then can god give us a testimony in his time in his way. In the scriptures the voice of the Spirit is described as being neither loud nor harsh, not a voice of thunder, neither a voice of great tumultuous noise, but rather as still and small, of perfect mildness, as if it had been a whisper, and it can pierce even the very soul and cause the heart to burn. That is the simple fact of why I Choose to be a mormon. That same Spirit has Pierced my soul and caued my heart to burn letting me know that this is Gods Church. Everyday I am thankfull for the gospel and cannot picture my life without it. My Life would be Lost and Empty Without it.

How I live my faith

A few years ago I had the opportunity to Teach the 8 and 9 year old children of the congregation. We call them Primary Children. Currently I am serving a Mission for The Church In Washinton. It was the best decision I ever made and has changed my life.
