Hi I'm Andrew

I play the cello. I like to run and bike. I love the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I really enjoy music. It has always been a big part of my life. I have six older siblings and each one of them plays a string instrument. Each of us have played in college, so when we get together we really enjoy playing music together. I personally play the cello. I love the cello because I feel like it helps me to really express my feelings in a way that words can't. Although I love music, I hope to someday go to med school. I would love to have the opportunity to help people with medical issues. One of my favorite things to do is to serve others. I love the feeling of helping someone's day become brighter. I also love to run and bike. I ran cross country for a few years, and I continue to run just for fun now. I did a triathlon a while ago, and I hope to be able to compete in another one in the future. I really like to spend time outdoors camping and hiking. I enjoy to do all of these things, but the thing that means the most to me is my family. I enjoy spending time with them. They have each taught me important things about life, but we have a good time joking and playing around as well. I love my family!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I have felt by the power of the spirit that Jesus Christ is my Savior, and that Joseph Smith did restore His gospel to the earth today. I have seen the changes that living the gospel has made in my life. It has helped me to find true happiness. I believe everyone is searching for happiness and I know that it can be found through living the gospel of Jesus Christ. As I face challenges in my life, I always feel at peace because I know that God loves me. I know he loves us enough that He sent His only begotten son here to suffer and die for us. I know that because of that sacrifice the ability to have eternal life became possible. As I have trusted in God I have felt the power of His promises and the eternal love which He does have for each of us. I know that the sacrifice which Jesus Christ made for us is real and if we allow it to become a part of our lives that we can find the true peace and happiness that we search for.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to follow the example that Jesus Christ set for us. I look for opportunities to serve in whatever way I can. There are many ways I have found to be able to help people by doing things like helping them to move, mowing their lawn, or maybe even just dropping in for a friendly visit. I also live my faith by sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with everyone that I see. I know the happiness it has brought me, and I want everyone else to be able to experince that same happiness. Each day I study the scriptures and pray so that I may know how to follow the example of Jesus Christ even better. I try to give my will up to God because I know if I follow His will I can feel at peace.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

We know that all true knowledge comes from God. We invite all to live according to the teachings of this church, and to pray and ask God if what they are learning and doing is right. Jesus Christ has told us "if any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself." John 7:17. Likewise we invite all to live accoring to the teachings of this church and to see how it can bring them closer to Christ. If we do live according to the principles taught we will feel the peace and happiness that comes from the Holy Ghost. These feelings especially come from reading and praying. If you have already felt the feelings of peace and happiness in your life you can know with a surety that these things are true. Show more Show less
