Hi I'm Wendy

I grew up in beautiful Southern California. I love early morning walks. My husband and children bring me such joy! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I feel grateful to be a wife and mother. My favorite time of day is nap time. I feel fortunate to live in the United States of America. I am a sucker for chocolate, good books and chic flicks. Did I mention that I love nap time? I am in awe by all that my children teach me. I am blessed to be a part of the social work profession and help people with their challenges. I have such respect for my husband who serves in our armed forces.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because it brings calmness, understanding, hope and peace to my life. Knowing that Heavenly Father has a plan for me and my family and that Jesus Christ made it possible to over come my sins and to live again helps me face the storms of life and my own personal struggles. I have felt the sweet comfort of the Holy Ghost let me know that Jesus Christ is the Savior, that the Book of Mormon is the word of God, that there is a living prophet to guide us today and that families can be together forever.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be the best person I can. I fail daily, but I keep trying. I try to act in a way that I can be proud of and in a way that would please the Lord. I try to serve others. I try to have a good attitude, be patient, have integrity and be forgiving. I fall so short of all of these qualities, but I keep trying. I pray, I attend church, I read the scriptures, I look for opportunities to help others in need. I am far from perfect at these things, but I keep trying. I seek inspiration from Heavenly Father. I try to listen to the promptings of the Holy Ghost. I pay my tithing. I attend the temple. I try to keep the covenants I have made. I struggle, but I keep trying. I am motivated in knowing that great peace and joy and happiness comes when I live according to my convictions.
