Hi I'm Jack

I have lived in this wonderful state of Colorado for 23 years. I started a small business that I love, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father, a grandfather and a husband. I have lived in this beautiful state of Colorado for 23 years, and am glad to be here. I have been a salesman most of my life and now own a small business that I love. So I guess you could say that I am a salesman and a business owner wrapped up into one. I ride bikes, although not much the last year or two, walk, enjoy going out to eat, or enjoy a good movie. I keep busy with my business, church, family and going on trips to see the grand children. I like to read authors like Martini, White, Rand and any drama book out there, plus church books, you can through them into the mix as well. I love my wife. This is me in a nut shell.

Why I am a Mormon

My family has been members of the Mormon Church for 7 generations, so I have been a member since I was born. That's not what makes a Mormon however. To be a Mormon like me one needs to ask questions, look at the teachings, wonder why we believe the way we do. I have gone through all of this when I was younger and finally asked the Lord these simple questions. Are you there? Is it true? Do I need to follow you? Was Joseph Smith really a prophet like Moses? When I got the answers to all these questions, I knew I should do as my Lord and Savior asked. I love life; I enjoy a laugh, to eat, to play, to be with friends, and to worship. I love how simple things are made to make me stronger in by belief, in my faith. That faith, that belief is that I do have a Heavenly Father that loves me, that Jesus is my savior and loves me. The Lord answers my questions with the simple small voice that only comes when I am listening. I love how it makes me feel. I feel close to Jesus; sometimes I can feel him, prompting me, I can feel him answering my questions, I can feel him helping me with my many needs. Why I'm a Mormon? To put it simply, I love the way I feel.

How I live my faith

Now I live my life full of expectations. As a business owner I put everything into my day, but I also put into every day my faith. As a volunteer, I am a leader in the Boy Scouts of America as an Assistant District Commissioner. I am also a leader in our church working with our young men, and young women. I am a leader in what we call a Stake. A Stake is over 6-8 congregations. I work with the young men and young women 12 years - 18 years of age, helping the congregations with the Boy Scouting organizations and also helping the youth plan parties, dances, summer activities and some multi congregation activities that the youth would love to do. I also help the youth plan spiritual outings and gatherings that we call firesides. I am also what we call a Home Teacher. I have assigned to me several families in my congregation. I try and see my assigned families once a month, this is to check on them, to see if they need help with anything, make sure they are doing OK. This is my life; this is my faith in action.
