Hi I'm Jen

I'm a Texan. I'm a Suns FANatic. I'm a mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated from BYU with a degree in Social Work and Spanish. I met my husband on a Study Abroad to Spain. We were married twenty years ago this month! We then began the adventure of medical school and starting up our own Family Practice. I have four beautiful children. We just took our oldest up to BYU to bring the adventure full circle! I have been blessed to be a stay at home mom. My plate is full with all of the extra curricular activities my children are involved with. I spend many of my days volunteering at their schools and I run the Art Masterpiece program at the Elementary School. I’m also involved in serving in the women’s organization at church. When I have free moments, I love to read, watch the Suns, the UFC, work on home improvement projects, and further develop a newfound love of baking.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a Mormon! It is not a sacrifice to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is never a hardship when you receive more than you could ever possibly give back! In this church I am given the teachings to create strong family ties that will last forever. I am given the tools to create an eternal and loving marriage. We are given the encouragement to be healthy, to be educated, loyal, hard-working, respectful, serving and a compassionate people. And on top of all of that, it is through this Church, that I have learned to be faithful. I have been taught to seek for myself the knowledge that my Heavenly Father and my Savior Jesus Christ live, that they love me and have an eternal plan for my family and I. What better way is there to live life or raise a family?

How I live my faith

Gordon B. Hinckley, one of our modern day prophets has stated that “the course of our lives is seldom determined by great, life-altering decisions.” I try to live my life knowing that it is the small day to day choices that determine the track we take and who we inevitably become. My husband and I try to teach this to our children. Every day we try to make good choices such as serving others, speaking kindly to one another, spending time as a family, and find some way to grow closer to the Lord whether it is through prayer or study. We try to live our lives knowing that we are on the road to becoming more Christ-like and that TODAY is an important part of that journey!
