Hi I'm Carla

I grew up in Missouri, I'm a stay at home mom of 4 in Texas, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a family of six children. I liked school and played the clarinet in high school. I graduated from BYU with a degree in Public Health. I have 4 children, I like to read, and I'm married to my best friend.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My dad was a convert, my mom a lifetime member. They raised us in the Church but it was important for me to decide for myself if I believed what I was taught was true. Through scripture study and prayer, I have come to know of the truthfulness of the gospel and that Christ's church has been restored to the earth. I felt so strongly about these truths that I went on a mission to Argentina and spent 18 months teaching individuals and families about our Savior's love and our Heavenly Father's Plan of Happiness. I now have the opportunity to teach my children and to serve in the church and continue to bring myself and others to Christ. This is what brings me joy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by loving and serving others. This is what Christ taught us to do. I try to be a good mother, wife, sister, and friend. I help the women of our congregation by organizing activities as well as teaching Sunday lessons, greeting new women in the group, and helping others know how they can serve. I also volunteer in my kids' school and I try to be an influence for good on the children and adults I come in contact with. I try to remain positive and helpful. My faith was tested in the last few years as I lost both of my parents within a year of each other. I was and continues to be painful to not have them here yet through my knowledge of life after death and forever families, I can find peace in the fact that I will see them again someday.
