Hi I'm Troy

I'm a Mormon. I converted to the church when I was 21 and am thankful for my decision every day...

About Me

I retired from the US Navy in 2008 and just recently graduated from college in June 2011. I am currently enrolled in a Master's in Teaching Program. I have 6 children and still have a few of them left at home. I enjoy sports and the outdoors.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church because the family values they represent and the heavy emphasis on living a spiritual life 7 days a week and not just on Sundays. I have a strong testimony of this gospel and know it is true. My membership in the church is everything to me and because of it I have a wonderful relationship with my Heavenly Father. He has blessed my life and the lives of my family greatly. I am truly indebted to my savior for his great sacrifice and gladly serve him daily.

How I live my faith

Being a member of the church isnt easy, it requires effort and a strong commitement to the other members and your community. I currently serve as a Ward Mission Leader and love doing missionary work. I have the opportunity to work with the full-time missionaries and many other ward missionaries. The greatest aspect of my current calling that I truly enjoy is helping people. There is NO replacement for the feeling I gain after helping someone, especially when I play any role in them discovering the truthfullness of the gospel.
