Hi I'm Amy

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to my best friend and we have been blessed with a beautiful daughter. I have 4 sisters and I love to spend time with them when I can. I love art, travel and all things creative. I love to read, bake, swim, golf, and get my nails done. One day I hope to master another language and couponing!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised "part-time" in the church. When I was 8, my parents divorced and my father chose not to attend church about a year after their divorce was finalized. As a result, my sisters and I went to church every other weekend. When I was 19, I went through a period of inactivity in the church because I did not "always know" that the church was true. I had to figure out what I truly believed and I knew that that decision would determine whether or not I would continue to participate in the LDS church. After some soul searching (I know it sounds SO cliche, but it's true!) and prayer, I realized that my happiness in life was a direct result of what the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints had to offer. It was at that time that I decided to fully commit to living the gospel. Despite the fact that I still had a lot to learn about myself and the gospel at that time, what I did know was that the church was true. Since then my testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel has continued to grow. I am so grateful to know that the Book of Mormon is true and that Jesus Christ is my personal savior. As I choose to live righteously my testimony and my joy continue to grow and that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

One of the simplest ways that I live my faith is that I show up! There are days when it would be easier not to show up for church during my daughters nap time, but I know that my family and I are blessed for just showing up every Sunday! I also live my faith through daily prayer and scripture study.
