Hi I'm Sarah

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I’m a recent college graduate with a degree in political science trying to figure out what my next grand adventure will be. I was born and raised in Seattle Washington, spent 4 years in Provo Utah, 2 months in Jerusalem and 18 months in Italy. I have the rest of my life ahead of me which leaves me feeling excited and impatient.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church, but have long since decided for myself to be committed to the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon because I know that happiness in this life comes from living the gospel of Christ and accessing His marvelous Atonement. I am a Mormon because I know God is real and I am His daughter and He loves me. I am a Mormon because there is a living prophet on the earth today who leads and guides this church and speaks on behalf of God to help God’s children one day return to Him. I am a Mormon because I have felt a peace and reassurance from the Holy Ghost that the Book Of Mormon is true and complements the Bible as another testament of Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon because I know that God the Father and the Savior appeared to Joseph Smith and through the prophet Joseph they restored the Church of Jesus Christ so that God’s children could once again enjoy the gifts and blessings that God has for them.

How I live my faith

To me living my faith means more than just showing up for church every week. It is something that I strive to live daily. I pray everyday to God and read daily from the scriptures. I try to follow the example of Jesus Christ by serving those around me. I work with the elderly and strive to care for the sick and the widows as the Savior would do. I have held formal responsibilities as a teacher in my local church community. My favorite teaching experience was when I was able to teach about the life of the Savior from the New Testament.
